Our first guest pizza


The first special edition No. 7 was created by Martina Caruso, Italy’s youngest Michelin starred chef.


This year, with our friends at Ferrarelle water, we are bringing you four special pizzas by some of Italy’s most exciting chefs. Martina’s No.7 was a Sicilian masterpiece – the classic Aeolian salad in pizza form.

It was inspired by the ingredients of the island of Salina, home to Franco Manca’s summer-season outpost. The pizza featured red Piennolo tomatoes, roasted potatoes, red onions, wild capers by Antonio Caravaglio, Nocellara del Belice olives, mozzarella and mint on a light tomato base.



No one brings the flavours of Salina to life like Martina Caruso. Martina, together with her father Michele, (a near mythological creature and obsessive forager), her brother Luca, (an expert Maitre d’) and Raffaele (our founder Giuseppe’s favourite bartender), runs the island’s famous Hotel Signum, one of the prettiest boutique hotels in the world, and a must-stay for all Italian food pilgrims.



Hotel Signum is one of Giuseppe’s favourite places to visit and eat. You’ll often find him at the bar, and you’ll often find the Caruso family repaying the compliment in Franco Manca’s seaside pizzeria.

Ferrarelle water contains 100% natural bubbles as a result of the long journey through the volcanic rocks of Roccamonfina park in Southern Italy. Ferrarelle water and their ambassador chefs are working with Franco Manca to develop pizzas based on their local Italian heritage.
